wabi sabi shibori indigo kimono vest
Shibori indigo kimono shawl with raw hem and beautiful wabi sabi details. The handwoven cotton is surprisingly lightweight and has a lovely drape. Deep side vents give it beautiful movement and make it the perfect layering piece.
This beautiful textile was traditionally made by hand in Mali. It was woven in long small strips which were sewn together to create a thick, sarong like, cloth. All that before being dyed in indigo. The whole process takes weeks. The fabric is just enough for 1 piece of clothing, this one.
Made in Oakland, CA with handmade vintage textile from West Africa
